A police department in Westchester ran into trouble with YouTube after the company removed a video posted by officers that they deemed was too violent. The video-sharing website sent an email to Yonkers Police on Sunday, March 12 notifying them that it had removed a video posted by the department in 2021 that was in violation of YouTube's violent or graphic content policy. A suspect has been taken into custody nearly a year to the day after a fatal shooting in Westchester. At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of Lawrence Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside the lobby of 19 Lawrence St. with a gunshot wound to his torso, Yonkers Police said. Multiple Arrests Made After Gang Assault In Hudson Valley
Several arrests were made in Westchester following an assault by alleged gang members that left their victim in the hospital with a brain injury, police said.
