Developing: 15 Protestors Charged After Closing Down Bridge In Hudson Valley New York State Police arrested 15 people during a protest calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict after they shut down parts of a major highway and a bridge.  The incident occurred in Dutchess County on I-84 and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge around 8 a.m., Monday, April 15. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, the bridge was closed for approximately 45 minutes for state police to clear the bridge and detain the protestors. ID Released For Woman Who Died After Jumping From Bridge In Hudson Valley Police have identified a woman who jumped to her death from a bridge in the region on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Original report: Woman Jumps From Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police announced on Thursday, Nov. 16 that the body of Dutchess County resident Stacy M. Shanahan, age 49, of Beekman, was the person who was found dead under the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge near Fishkill.  No signs of foul play have been discovered at this time, Hicks said. The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office was on the scene aiding in the investigation.
