Andrew Cuomo announced on Thursday, March 5 that the number of cases had risen to 18, with the eight new cases all related to the 50-year-old New Rochelle attorney who was the first county resident to contract the virus. Police Officer In Hudson Valley Dies At 33 A 33-year-old police officer in Westchester died unexpectedly at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. Thomas Goff, who had been with the Yonkers Police Department for the past three and half years, died on Saturday, March 30, according to an obituary by Whalen & Ball Funeral Home.  The Yonkers Police Department said on its Facebook page: "We lost a valued member of our department, he will be sorely missed."
