Lithium Battery Causes Garage Fire In Hudson Valley While Homeowner Vacations
A homeowner in the Hudson Valley came home from vacation to discover that a lithium battery had started a fire in their garage while they were gone, fire officials said. The incident happened on Tuesday, July 18 just after 2 p.m., when members of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department were sent to a residence in the hamlet to respond to a report of a possible structural fire. A woman was found dead inside her Rockland County home following an intense fire that heavily damaged the residence. The fire took place around 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, at 9 Wheeler Place in West Nyack, said the Clarkstown Police Department. As units from the police department arrived on the scene of the single-family home they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the house which kept them from gaining access to the home, police said. Fully Involved Blaze Breaks Out At Two-Story House In Rockland
Firefighters and police are on the scene of a fully-involved house fire in Tomkins Cove. The fire at 2 Soluri Lane started around 10:29 a.m., Friday, March 8, said the Stony Point Police Department. Smoke and fire are visible from the structure, officials said. Part of the structure is reported to have collapsed. Seven Hospitalized In Ramapo Carbon Monoxide Scare
Seven people were hospitalized after police responded to a home regarding a call that a woman had fallen. When Ramapo Police arrived on the scene of the call around 10:23 p.m., Monday, they found that no was hurt, but that the home had been without power for several days and the occupants were using a gas powered generator to power lights and space heaters, police said.
