Police Investigating Separate Shootings Hours Apart In Westchester Police in Westchester are currently investigating two shooting incidents that occurred just hours apart. The incidents began in Mount Vernon around 5:40 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the area of 215 Union Ave. Mount Vernon Police responded to the area on a report of shots fired and a man down, said Tim Allen, spokesman for the Mount Vernon Police. 4 Attending Vigil Shot In Hudson Valley Four people attending a vigil in Westchester were shot, leaving one in critical condition with a bullet wound to the head. The incident took place in Mount Vernon around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 333 South 8th Ave. According to city officials, the police department responded to the area of 333 South 8th Avenue on a report of multiple people shot. Area Man Arrested For Murder A man is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection to a fatal shooting in Westchester, police said. Mount Vernon resident Hayward Bradshaw III, age 33, was arrested on Sunday, March 6 outside a Bronx apartment building following the investigation into the shooting of 41-year-old city resident Kwasi Kirton.
