The incident happened in Dutchess County on Friday, Feb. 10 at approximately 2:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the Extra Mart located at 2 West Market St. in the village of Red Hook. Woman Falls 50 Feet To Her Death While Doing Yardwork In Hudson Valley, Police Say An 83-year-old woman from the region was killed after falling 50 feet fell down an embankment while doing yardwork. The accident took place in Ulster County in the Town of Esopus around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31. The woman was found when deputies responded to a home on New Salem Road for the report of an elderly woman who had fallen down an embankment, said Lt. Home Invader Held Elderly Couple, Others At Knifepoint CLIFTON, N.J. -- Detectives believe they may be closer to finding a man who forced his way into an elderly Clifton couple's home at knifepoint. The man in the sketch knocked on the door around 4 a.m. last Oct. 14, then grabbed the 72-year-old resident who answered and forced her inside, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said. After pulling a knife, he held her, an 82-year-old resident and two other family members at bay "while he searched the home and demanded money," Bracken said.
