Corrections Officer Smuggled Tobacco, Phone For Hudson Valley Jail Inmates, Police Say A corrections officer has been arrested on multiple felonies after allegedly smuggling in contraband for inmates at a Hudson Valley jail. Ulster County resident Felicia Waithe, age 28, of Kingston, was arrested at home Wednesday, July 12, following an investigation by sheriff’s officials. According to deputies, Waithe worked as a probationary corrections officer at the Ulster County jail in Kingston. New York State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate a woman wanted by the Village of Ossining Court dating back to her 2006 arrest for attempting to smuggle drugs into the Sing Sing Correctional Facility. Viera is wanted on charges that include the introduction of contraband to prisoners, bail jumping and unlawful possession of marijuana.
