The first stop took place in Orange County around 4:15 a.m., Sunday, May 14 when troopers from the Montgomery barracks observed Tito Vinza-Vinza, age 38, of the city of Newburgh, drifting into the opposite lane. 32-Year-Old Accused Of Assaulting Trooper After Crash In Area A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked a New York State trooper and fought with others following his arrest for DWI. The incident took place in Orange County around 11 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at 11 p.m. at the Wallkill Rest Area off I-84 in Wallkill.  Upon arrival, troopers found a 2013 Honda Civic parked in a handicapped parking spot with a flat tire. Orange County resident Anthony Mahabir, 38, of the City of Newburgh, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court on Wednesday, Oct. 21, assault, arson, and criminal contempt, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office. 19-Year-Old Charged In Sexual Assault At Area College A teenager is facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting someone at a college in the area last year. Middletown resident Noah Baker, 19, was charged with rape and strangulation following an incident on the campus of Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh during the fall of 2018, New York State Police said.  The arrest came following a lengthy joint investigation by the State Police’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit.
