Passenger Seriously Injured, Motorist From Suffern Jailed After DWI Crash, Prosecutor Says A salesman at a Rockland County auto dealership was jailed after authorities said he crashed his vehicle at a Bergen County Park – seriously injuring his female passenger – while under the influence of alcohol. Alex Cruz, age 33, of Suffern, lost control of the motorcycle in Paramus at the Forest Avenue entrance to Van Saun Park shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
