A stretch of a busy roadway has now reopened after an overturned tractor-trailer crash on a busy roadway in the Hudson Valley. According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the incident occurred in Orange County on I-84 eastbound in Newburgh around 7 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19. The road was closed from Exit 34 (I-84) - Newburgh (NY 17K) (Newburgh) for several hours. The westbound left lane was also blocked. Multiple Crashes Leave I-87 Traffic At Standstill For those who have to brave the highways, Orange County Emergency Management officials are warning that I-87 is open, but due to multiple crashes, is at a standstill. The department reported around 4 p.m., Thursday that traffic is not moving between Exit 16 and Exit 17 (Harriman and Newburgh), and for motorists to use alternate roadways if possible.
