Suffern Police Report Several Arrests

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- A 53-year-old Suffern man was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a dispute on Orange Avenue among several arrests reported by Suffern Police.

According to police, he was arguing with another man and became irate and violent when police arrived at the scene.

He struggled while being arrested and handcuffed, police said.

He was sent to Rockland County Jail on $500 bail, police said.

A 26-year-old Pomona man was arrested on a warrant in connection with a driving while ability impaired incident on Boulevard, police said.

An 18-year-old New City man was arrested on Pavilion Road and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle.
