The two girls said a small 4 door red vehicle operated by a white male in his fifties stopped next to them and asked where the library was. The girls fled the area and notified adults, Suffern Police said.

Authorities later found a vehicle matching the description given by the girls in the library parking lot. The suspect stated he was lost and looking for the library. He was charged with driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and his vehicle was impounded, police said.

The 52-year-old unidentified Goshen man was released pending a future court date, police said.
