Ramapo Police Search For Man Who Robbed, Assaulted Cabdriver

RAMAPO, N. Y. -- Ramapo police are investigating a robbery and attack on a cabdriver Sunday night after a ride that started at the Spring Valley Transportation Center, according to lohud.com.

The unidentified cabdriver told police that after giving a man a ride to South Cole Court, the man grabbed him around the neck, struck the back of his head with a hard object and demanded money. After the cabdriver gave the man money, the man sprayed some kind of liquid in the driver's face, lohud.com reported.

The attack happened about 8:25 p.m. Sunday. The driver was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, lohud.com said.
