Ramapo Police Respond To 11 Car Accident In One Day

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police responded to 143 calls for service on Tuesday, including 11 car accidents.

Two accidents occurred in New Hempstead, two in the Viola area, two in Airmont, one in Chestnut Ridge, one in HIllcrest, one in Wesley Hills, one in Kaser, and one in Monsey.

Two of the accidents involved injuries, with one driver being transported to Westchester Medical Center.

In addition to the accidents, officers also responded to 21 alarm activations, two fires and six medical emergencies.
