The arrest came about when an officer observed a driver operating a 1992 Honda with a fractured windshield in the parking lot of a gas station in Airmont, according to officials.

When the officer approached the driver, he noticed that the driver showed signs of intoxication, police report.

Following an investigation and field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, according to officials.

Ramapo police officers investigated two motor vehicle accidents Saturday, both in Airmont.

One of the accidents occurred on North Airmont Road and the other on Smith Hill Road.

No injuries were reported, according to officials.

Ramapo police responded to 115 calls for service Saturday, including 20 alarm activations, four fire calls and 12 medical emergencies.
