Police Apprehend Garnerville Man In Ramapo Driveway Assaults

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Garnerville man has been charged with the recent assaults of two local women in their driveways, according to Ramapo Police Chief Brad Weidel.

Adrian Valentin-Polanco 28, was arrested in connection with the two attacks that occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 1, on Carmen Court, in Chestnut Ridge and Thursday, Nov. 3, on Olympia Lane in Monsey. Both incidents occurred between the hours of 8:30 and 10 p.m., Weidel said.

The women, who had been approached from behind after arriving home from different locations, were attacked as soon as they got out of their vehicles, Weidel said.

Valentin-Polanco was charged with second-degree assault; third-degree assault; first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment

He is currently being held at the Ramapo Police Department and is scheduled to be arraigned at 6 p.m. Monday.
