6-Year-Old Bicyclist Hit By Car In Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. -- A 6-year-old boy on a bicycle was hit by a car on Friday on Pailen Drive at the intersection with Marmom Place in Spring Valley.

The Spring Valley Police Department reported the boy received injuries to his lower body and was treated by Hatzola Emergency Services before he was transported to Nyack Hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.

The motorist was not injured and was not issued any summonses, said Spring Valley Det. Robert Bookstein.

The investigation showed that the cause of the accident appears to be the actions of the bicyclist, said Bookstein.
