Vehicle Fire Fills Residential Street With Smoke In Somers
A blaze that engulfed a vehicle on a residential road in Northern Westchester sent a plume of smoke into the air before it could be extinguished by firefighters. The fire began on Sunday, Feb. 11 around 4 p.m. in Somers, when a vehicle went up in flames on Brook Hollow Court, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Arriving crews soon began efforts to put the blaze out and were able to quickly do so. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not released.

Car Bursts Into Flames, Causes Temporary Road Closure In Somers
Part of a busy route in Northern Westchester was briefly closed after a vehicle went up in flames. The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 30 around 4:45 p.m., when crews in Somers responded to Route 139 for a reported motor vehicle fire. According to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department, arriving crews quickly arrived at the scene of the blaze and doused the flames with water within seconds, quickly extinguishing it. A raging van fire in Northern Westchester sent up smoke that could be seen by firefighters a mile away. The blaze happened on Wednesday, July 19 around 10:30 a.m., when firefighters in Somers were called to put out a vehicle fire that started around five meters away from a building. A vehicle fire in the Hudson Valley prompted a quick response from firefighters and left a van almost completely engulfed in flames. The fire happened on Thursday afternoon, June 29 in Putnam County on Route 311 in the town of Patterson at Maple Avenue, according to the Patterson Fire Dept. No.1. Vehicle Blaze Leaves Car Seared On Busy Yorktown Road
Firefighters were called to put out a raging vehicle fire on a main road in Northern Westchester. The fire happened on Sunday, Jan. 29 around 1:50 p.m., when firefighters in Yorktown responded to the intersection of Crompond Road (Route 202) and the Taconic State Parkway northbound exit ramp to put out the blaze. Just under two dozen firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, which left the vehicle heavily damaged and burned. Luckily, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

A driver was sent to the hospital with burns after a vehicle fire in Northern Westchester. Police are investigating a fiery fatal crash in Westchester County. It happened around 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 17 on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh. Responders were dispatched to mile marker 5.6 northbound for a report of a crash with a vehicle engulfed in flames.
