Update: Hudson Valley Teen Stabbed To Death ID'd Police have identified a teen who died from a stab wound during an incident in the Hudson Valley that left two others seriously injured.  Orange County resident Destin Rabess, age 18, of Montgomery was killed around 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 12 in Port Jervis. Port Jervis Police learned of the death and injured when they responded to Bon Secours Community Hospital located at 160 East Main St., Port Jervis, for a report of three patients in the emergency department with stab wounds, said Lt. ID Released For Boy Who Died After Falling Through Ice In Dutchess County Authorities have released the identity of a 17-year-old boy who died after falling through the ice at a state park. Dutchess County resident Noah Thompson, of Amenia, was found about 2:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, after police responded to the Taconic State Park on Shagroy Road in the Town of North East for a report of someone who had fallen through the ice. Thompson and another teen had walked 20 to 30 feet out onto the ice when it broke, sending both into the water, according to Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Dutchess County resident Jack Aidan Strehl, age 16, of Arlington, died on Friday, Oct. 14. A cause of death was not provided. Known as a hardworking member of the maintenance crews at The Links at Union Vale, Jack always impressed coworkers with his work ethic for such a young man, his obituary said. In July of 2017, at the age of 11, Jack earned his Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do at Telesco’s Martial Arts after only five years of training. Man, Woman From Hudson Valley Charged After Missing 14-Year-Old Killed In Crash A man and a woman from a behavioral institute for young adults and children have been charged in connection with a crash that killed a missing 14-year-old boy. The crash took place in Columbia County on Friday, Sept. 23 in Clermont on Route 9. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, Romelo Cruze was killed after being hit by a vehicle. While the State Police were investigating the fatal crash, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in in Dutchess County, located in Red Hook, reported that Cruze, a resident of their facility, was missing, Hicks said.
