Suspects Charged With Murder After Police Chase, Crash Follow Drive-By Shooting Two suspects -- one from Poughkeepsie and the other from Arlington -- have been charged with murder following the drive-by shooting of a 40-year-old man in Newburgh late Friday night, Jan. 25. Just before 10:30 p.m., the City of Newburgh Police Department received a “Shot Spotter” activation for the area of 9 Hasbrouck Street indicating nine rounds had been fired. Upon arrival, officers located a man who had been shot in the lower torso.
