Massachusetts native Meghan Raveis, age 45, died on Friday, June 23 after she was struck by a vehicle while walking near her Connecticut residence in the town of Fairfield in the 500 block of Redding Road. Northern Westchester Student Earns National Attention In World Languages New Canaan Country School students made a strong showing in the recent 2018 National World Languages exams. In Spanish, of the 34,600 students who sat for the exam nationwide, four Gold medals - the highest possible prize – were awarded to New Canaan Country School students, placing eighth grader Ellie Hanson in the top 4 percent, and ninth graders Shane Carbin of Norwalk, Georgia Rivero of New Canaan and Hannah Nightingale of Rowayton in the top 1 percent of the United States.
