Warning Issued After New Car Burglary In Red Hook Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles after a car burglary that matches a string of others across the area. Police said the latest break-in occurred at Poets Walk at Red Hook where thieves smashed a car window and made off with a purse that was inside.  Similar thefts have taken place at Bard College and in Rhinebeck.  The suspects are believed to be using a punch tool to gain entry and look for vehicles were contents are left visible in the front seats, Red Hook police said.
