The new service area in Ulster County, located in the town of Plattekill, (is now open to the public. The location is the sixth new service area to open on the New York State Thruway as part of the $450 million project to redevelop and modernize all 27 thruway service areas, said the New York State Thruway Authority. Man, 23, Charged After Report Of 'Playing With Knife' At Panera In Yorktown A Westchester man is facing a weapons charge after being busted playing with an illegal knife at a Panera Bread in Yorktown over the weekend. Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Panera Bread at the Triangle Shopping Center shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, where there were reports of a person playing with a knife. Upon arrival at Panera Bread, officers found 23-year-old Ryan McCullough of White Plains in possession of a gravity knife that was in plain view to the customers at the restaurant.
