A 19-year-old from the Hudson Valley was jailed after he was caught with a ghost gun during a traffic stop in Northern Westchester, police said. The arrest resulted from an incident on Sunday, April 7 just after 2 a.m., when a Yorktown Police officer saw a vehicle traveling on Bargar Street with a missing headlight and pulled it over at 3700 Bargar St. near the Mobil gas station. Hudson Valley Man With 27 Arrests Busted Again For Robbery, Police Say
A man with 27 prior arrests who is on parole has been busted again for allegedly robbing a Hudson Valley gas station. Ulster County resident Michael J. Brooks, age 62, of Plattekill, was charged on Friday, Feb. 23 in the town of Lloyd. According to Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, Brooks robbed the Mobil gas station on Grand Street in Highland of $2,800 on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Workers at four businesses have been charged with illegally selling alcoholic beverages to minors during a New York State Police detail in Northern Westchester and Putnam. During the initiative conducted on Saturday, Feb. 4, a total of 17 retail establishments were checked for compliance utilizing a trooper in plain clothes and an underage operative utilizing a valid NY driver’s license. Suspect Nabbed After Robbery Of Mobil Station In Area
One person has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Mobil gas station in the area. According to New York State Police, the robbery took place around 10:45 p.m., Monday, Oct. 26, in Ulster County at the Mobil station on State Route 32 in the town of Rosendale, said Trooper Steven Nevel. When troopers arrived on the scene the suspect had fled the area. The clerk was able to give the troopers a description of the suspect and his vehicle. Two store clerks were charged with selling alcohol to a minor during an underage enforcement operation conducted by state police in the area. The detail, held on Saturday, May 23 in Dutchess, utilized an underage volunteer to purchase alcohol under the observation of plainclothes investigators and supported by uniformed troopers. Police Search For Man Who Robbed Northern Westchester Gas Station At Knifepoint
This story has been updated. New York State Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly robbed a Northern Westchester Mobil gas station at knifepoint. The incident took place around 7:40 a.m., Monday, Aug. 26, at the station located at 2071 E. Main St., in Cortlandt Manor, said the state police. Police said the man is described as a white male who was last seen wearing a green hoodie jacket with black pants. A knife allegedly used in the crime was found at the scene. A man found slumped over the front seat of his car at a Southeast gas station is facing a misdemeanor charge after being found with a blood alcohol content more than double the legal limit.
