Man Threatens To 'Shoot Up' Hospital In Area Over Denied Visit, Police Say A man from the region is facing charges after he allegedly threatened to carry out a mass shooting at a hospital. Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies were called at around 12:45 a.m. Thursday, July 28, with reports of several people attempting to enter a secure area at Ellenville Hospital in Wawarsing. Hospital staff told deputies that one of the men had become “irate” when he was denied access to the emergency department to visit a friend. Area Man Threatens To Bomb Community Services Department, Sheriff Says A Monticello man was charged with making a bomb threat of a public building after allegedly making a threat by phone.Xzavier Oladipo, 30, of Monticello, was arrested on Wednesday, March 20, after the Sullivan County Community Services in Liberty received a bomb threat via telephone around 10:13 a.m., said Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and immediately conducted a search of the area with negative results. Man Armed With Rifles Apprehended After Threatening To Kill Troopers During Hours-Long Standoff A 34-year-old man is behind bars after police say he threatened to kill troopers during a standoff in which he was armed with several rifles. Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess 911 to Route 82 in the Town of Stanford for a domestic dispute on Wednesday, Dec. 26 at approximately 8:50 p.m. While Troopers were en route, Dutchess County 911 advised the responding patrols that the suspect, later identified as Robert Spaulding of Stanford, made threats to shoot troopers upon arrival and was in possession of multiple rifles.
