A community is mourning the loss of a Hudson Valley woman who once owned two popular businesses in Northern Westchester and was known for her love of crafting. Putnam County resident Diane Callahan-Caro of Brewster died on Friday, Jan. 19 in Newark, New Jersey at the age of 69, according to her obituary. Born in Morristown, New Jersey in 1954, Callahan-Caro went on to graduate from Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak in 1972 before earning her bachelor's degree from Briarcliff College. A woman has been arrested for allegedly making terroristic threats against an area school. Northern Westchester resident Diane Harris-Hines, age 54, of Peekskill, was arrested by Yorktown Police on Friday, April 23, after allegedly making a threatening phone call to the main office of Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, said the Yorktown Police.
