Road Closure Alert Issued In Area An emergency declaration has been put out by the Connecticut State Department of Transportation for a busy roadway in Northern Fairfield County. The CTDOT announced that on beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, there will be a closure of Route 37 South slightly north - an estimated 150 to 200 feet - of the turn for Big Trail, near the Sherman-New Fairfield line for roadwork.
