Disabled Patient, Caregivers Rescued From Flooded Parkway In Hudson Valley A wheelchair-bound patient and two caregivers had to be rescued from a flooded parkway in Westchester when the ambulette they had been traveling in started taking on water.  The rescue happened on Sunday, April 30, when authorities responded to the Bronx River Parkway in White Plains under the Hamilton Avenue overpass and found a vehicle that had become stuck in the flooded southbound lanes, according to White Plains Public Safety.  The ambulette had become surrounded by over two feet of water, which was continuing to quickly rise.  When first responders saw this, they …

Man Charged In Stabbing During Overnight Westchester Street Fight A 23-year-old area man was arrested following the stabbing of another man during a street fight. Gordon Curtis Gaston, of Mount Vernon and arrested early Wednesday, shortly after police found the injured man lying in the street around 3:10 a.m., said David Chong, commissioner of the White Plains Department of Public Safety. The injured man was found after White Plains officers responded to a report of a fight involving two men at the corner of Post Road and Mamaroneck Avenue, Chong said.
