34-Year-Old Killed In I-84 Crash In Hudson Valley A 34-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash in the Hudson Valley after his 2006 Acura RSX ran off the roadway. The collision occurred in Orange County on a stretch of I-84 around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 in the town of Greenville. New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said Christopher Martini, from Matamoras, Pennsylvania, was killed when his vehicle ran off the roadway and he was ejected. Troopers begin life-saving measures. Port Jervis EMS pronounced Martini dead on the scene. The incident is still under investigation.

Orange County resident Brett Bayo, age 29, from the town of Greenville was arrested by New York State Police for third-degree arson and aggravated cruelty to animals, both felonies. During the 2018-2019 hunting season, New Yorkers hunted down 1,295 black bears statewide, a decrease of 125 from the previous year. Of the bears that were hunted, 349 were killed by bow, 66 were killed by a muzzleloader and 11 were taken by youth hunters.
