39-Year-Old From Area Accused Of Inappropriately Touching Minor For Months, Police Say A Hudson Valley man is facing criminal charges after police said he sexually abused a minor. Ulster County resident Brandon Ferguson, age 39, of Port Ewen, was arrested Friday, July 29 on a charge of felony sexual abuse. New York State Police said an investigation revealed that he had inappropriately touched the minor victim over a period of several months. Ferguson was arraigned in the town of Cairo Court before a judge released him on his own recognizance. He’s due back in the Town of Catskill Court on Thursday, Aug. 4.

Man Refuses To Perform Field Sobriety Tests, Gets Felony DWI, Police Say An Ulster County man was charged with a felony DWI after he refused to comply with officers who saw him sitting behind the wheel of his running vehicle while visible intoxicated. According to Saugerties Police, 53-year-old Joseph E. Coffey was arrested in the parking lot of the Simmons Plaza on Wednesday, Oct. 8. He refused to participate in field sobriety tests. After he was taken into custody, Coffey also refused to take a chemical test. He was released to a third party and will be sentenced in the Town of Saugerties Court later this month.
