Longtime Officer Promoted Chief Of Town of Poughkeepsie Police Longtime Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin P. Faber has been promoted to police chief. Faber joined the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department in 1991, bringing with him a background in engineering and mathematics, said Capt. Michael O'Dowd. He succeeds Ronald J. Spero, Jr., who was chief from May 20, 2015, to Aug. 30.
