The oil spill was reported on Mount Hope Road in Mahopac at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, prompting a heavy response by multiple emergency agencies. Large Truck Leaking Fuel Causes Road Closure In Ossining Update: Police said that the scene is nearly cleaned up, and Main Street is expected to reopen at approximately 6 p.m. on Monday afternoon. All hands were on deck Monday morning on Main Street in Ossining, as crews worked quickly to clean up a massive oil spill in the area that forced a lengthy road closure. Main Street remains closed between South Highland Avenue and State Street due to a large truck that leaked gallons of oil in the roadway.
