19-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed In Hudson Valley, Suspect On Loose Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Westchester County.  The incident happened on Saturday, Feb. 11, around 4 p.m., when police in Mount Vernon learned of a man lying on the ground in the area of North Columbus Avenue (Route 22) and East Lincoln Avenue.  After arriving at the scene, authorities found the victim unresponsive and discovered a single stab wound to his chest. He was then taken to Mount Vernon Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injury. The victim's name is being withheld by police as his family is notified.  …

Hutchinson River Parkway Lane Closures Scheduled Drivers can expect temporary delays on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon next month as contracting crews continue a bridge replacement project in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert to motorists cautioning that beginning on 11 p.m. on Friday, March 2 through 5 a.m. on Monday, March 5, a portion of the Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 6 (Interstate 95) and Exit 12 (East Lincoln Avenue) is expected to be closed.
