Duo Nabbed For Shooting Of Hudson Valley Man, Police Say Two men have been charged with the alleged shooting of a Hudson Valley man who is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The arrests occurred in Dutchess County on Wednesday, April 3 for the Saturday, March 30 incident at 444 Main St., in Poughkeepsie. During the incident, officers found 34-year-old Jaquan Fryar, of Poughkeepsie with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to an area hospital, where he remains, said Det. Sgt. Officers with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department say Curtis Parks, of Wappingers Falls, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Police say an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division and the Dutchess County Department of Community Investigations Division showed that Parks illegally obtained a total of $29,817 in daycare provider payments between October 2015 and May 2017. Suspect Who Fled After Fatal Area Social Club Shooting Turns Himself In A 38-year-old man wanted for the murder of a City of Poughkeepsie resident has surrendered to police. Robert Whitaker of North Carolina turned himself in for the Jan. 27 shooting of a man in front of the Fireman's Exempt Social Club, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark. According to Clark, Noel McClinton, 35, was killed around 2:58 a.m. at the club at 200 Mansion St., when multiple shots were fired, striking him numerous times.
