Hit-Run Crash: Suspect Nabbed After State Police Cruiser Struck On I-684 A New York State Police vehicle was damaged by a hit-and-run driver while the trooper was stopped on I-684 helping another motorist in Northern Westchester. The incident took place in Bedford around 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26. Trooper AJ Hicks said the crash occurred while the trooper was stopped in the southbound lane of I-684 assisting another driver when a gold Lexus SUV struck the passenger side of the police cruiser.
