Officers from the Sheriff’s Department's Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Ronaldo Araely Lopez-Miguel, 20, on Nov. 11 for the alleged rape of the girl.

An investigation was launched after the father of the victim reported that his daughter was allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with Lopez-Miguel.

Lopez-Miguel has been charged with rape in the second degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a minor.

He was committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 cash or bond.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Southeast Court to answer to the charges on Dec. 8.
