Putnam Valley Man Charged With Presenting Fictitious Vehicle Title

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- New York State Police arrested a Puntam Valley man Tuesday, Dec. 15, following an investigation into his alleged presentation of a fictitious vehicle title when registering a car at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Wappingers Falls.

The charges stem from an incident in which Barry I. Drabin-Gray, 48, allegedly presented the fictitious New Jersey title and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles paperwork at the DMV office in September of 2014, police said.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle conducted the investigation.

Drabin-Gray was charged with two counts of offering a false instrument for filing, a class E felony.

Drabin-Gray was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court Jan. 7, according to police.
