Three others were arrested last week in connected situations, capping an investigation into heroin trafficking in Mahopac that began in September.
Narcotics, small weight scales and drug packaging materials, were found in one of the suspect's house, which was raided following a drug arrest set up by police earlier in the day.
Shotguns were discovered, including a fully-loaded .380 caliber semi-auto pistol, a fully-loaded 12-gauge semi-auto shotgun and an AK-47 assault rifle loaded with a 30-round magazine.
Charged were Louis Carr, 50, reportedly home while the Mahopac house was raided. He was charged with several weapons and drug charges as well as other offenses.
Thomas Simmons, 35, also of Steiner Drive, was charged on several drug charges.
Alyssa Feldman, age 23, of Venderburgh Road in Poughquag, Dutchess County, and Joshua Fields, age 27, of Riverchase Drive in New Port Richie, Fla., were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
The Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU), worked with the Westchester County Police Narcotics Unit and other area police agencies, is an intelligence sharing program called the Northern Counties Narcotics Initiative Program. It developed and shared information that an individual was selling large quantities of heroin out of a private residence in Mahopac.
