New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks said troopers arrested Dutchess County resident Zachuriah McBride, age 21, of Red Hook, after receiving the law enforcement tip of possible sexual assault. 

The investigation determined McBride raped a victim under the age of 13 on multiple occasions. The victim was familiar to him.

Zachuriah McBride was charged with two counts of second-degree rape, and one count of second-degree criminal sex act, both Class D felonies.

McBride was arraigned before the town of Red Hook Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, $50,000 bond, or $100,000 partially secure bond. H

e is next scheduled to appear before the court on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
