Anthony DiPippo was initially convicted of the October 1994 killing of Josette Wright in 1997, but his case was overturned in 2011, according to lohud.com.
In 2012, DiPippo was again convicted of the murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, according to lohud.com.
DiPippo’s lawyers are expected to appeal the 2012 decision, citing their belief that the judge presiding over that trial should have allowed the defense to present evidence implicating another man who was previously named by police as a suspect in the case, according to lohud.com
