Mahopac Fire Department Launches Summer Carnival With Dress Parade

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- The Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department kicked off its annual summer carnival on Thursday with a dress parade.

Fire departments from throughout the Hudson Valley were on hand to celebrate the opening of the summer carnival that will run July 9-11 and July 16-18 at the Mahopac Fire Department, 741 Route 6, Mahopac.

The carnival will feature games, rides and Dino’s “world famous” sausage and pepper wedges, funnel cake and deep-fried Oreo cookies. The fire department will raffle off a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X Edition on Saturday, July 18 to close out the carnival.
