Charles Joseph Riefenhauser, who was born in Mahopac, turns 25 on Saturday, Jan. 30.
Rienfenhauser, who was drafted 20th of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Chipola Junior College, is a relief player for the Baltimore Orioles. He previously played for the Tampa Bay Rays.
He represented the Rays at the 2013 All-Star Futures Game and was added to their 40-man roster in November 2013. He was called up in April 2014 to make his Major League debut and sent back down to the Durham Bulls three days later.
Last year, Riefenhauser made 17 appearances with the Rays, earning his first major league win in June. He was traded in November to the Seattle Mariners, but before he could even suit up, he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in December.
