A dozen firefighters suffered injuries while fighting a devastating blaze in Westchester that left around 20 people without homes. The incident began at around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, when the third floor of a six-unit apartment building at 122 Downing St. in Yonkers caught on fire, according to Yonkers Assistant Fire Chief Joseph Citrone. 40 Firefighters Battle Blaze That Started In Bedroom Of Westchester Home
Dozens of firefighters were called into action on Sunday afternoon to battle a one-alarm blaze that broke out in the bedroom of a two-story Westchester home. Fire crews responded to an Eisenhower Drive home shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, when a family reported a fire had broken out in a bedroom on the second floor.
