Large Tree Falls On Occupied Car Near Park In Westchester A busy main road in Northern Westchester was briefly closed after a tree fell on an occupied car near a park, fire officials said. The incident happened on Sunday, Jan. 28 around 1:30 p.m., when a tree fell on a vehicle in the area of Gedney Park in Chappaqua on Route 120, according to the Millwood Fire Department.  Arriving first responders found that all of the car's occupants had been able to get out of the vehicle on their own, and began clearing debris from the roadway. Officials Announce Upcoming 2-Week Road Closure In Westchester County State officials issued an alert about an upcoming two-week-long road closure in Northern Westchester. Route 128 is set to close between Sands Mill Road and Wampus Lakes Drive in North Castle beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The road closure, which is being implemented to facilitate a culvert replacement, will last through Monday, Oct. 3, officials said. Motorists should follow the posted detour using Route 117, Route 120, and Route 22 as an alternate, according to the announcement.

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont introduced a plan for 12 statewide tolls, including one in a stretch of I-684 near the Greenwich-North Castle town line that will force truck drivers to pay a toll as high as $20 despite being in the state for only about one mile.
