Woman Found Stopped In Intersection Under Influence - Of Vanilla Extract, New Canaan Police Say A woman is facing a driving under the influence charge after New Canaan Police allegedly discovered her behind the wheel of a stopped vehicle in an intersection with her eyes closed. Police were dispatched to the intersection of Grove Street and Pine Street at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23 after hearing a report of a vehicle stopped in an intersection.
