Part Of Busy Westchester Road Closed After Scaffolding Damaged In Crash A part of a busy Westchester County road is closed to traffic following a crash that damaged nearby scaffolding.  Part of eastbound Prospect Street between Riverdale Avenue and South Broadway (Route 9) in Yonkers is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, Yonkers Police announced on Friday, July 5 around 9:45 a.m.  The closure was caused by a crash that damaged scaffolding next to the roadway. Bridge Repair Project To Cause Almost Year-Long Closure, Detours In Westchester A bridge over a busy parkway in Westchester will close for nearly a year for a construction project. The Grant Avenue Bridge over the Central Westchester Parkway in White Plains closed to vehicular traffic on Wednesday, June 5 as part of a bridge rehabilitation project, White Plains Public Safety officials announced on Monday, June 10.  As a result, Grant Avenue is closed between Clinton and Beech streets.
