Following a months-long investigation, two men have been charged in connection with a string of gas station burglaries in Northern Westchester, police announced.
Bronx residents Berto Dominguez, age 21, and Michael Cruz, age 19, were both arrested on Saturday, Dec. 23 as part of the culmination of a months-long investigation into at least five gas station burglaries that happened in Bedford between September and November 2023, Bedford Police announced on Tuesday, Dec. 26.

A 19-year-old man faces charges after leading officers on an extensive chase through woods, streams, and neighborhoods in Northern Westchester following his theft of a car, police said.
The incident began on Friday, July 28 just before 11:30 a.m., when authorities identified a stolen Ford traveling in Lewisboro, according to Westchester County Police.

Pace University Student Dies After Medical Episode On Northern Westchester Campus
Pace University in Northern Westchester is mourning the death of a popular student.
Jordan Robinson, age 20, of Danbury, Connecticut, died following a medical episode on campus Sunday, Feb. 13 in Pleasantville, said Pace University officials.
According to the college, Robinson was a sophomore on the Pleasantville campus.
The college said the Mount Pleasant Police Department, which is in charge of investigating such matters, has classified his death as a medical emergency, awaiting the medical examiner's findings.

Westchester Officials Form 'School Safety Commission' For Students, Teachers
With the new school year just weeks away, elected officials in Westchester have formed a new “School Safety Commission,” which will be tasked with “facilitating and implementing best practices to keep students, faculty and staff safe while in (area) schools.”
