Vehicle Fire Rages In Port Chester: Photos A raging vehicle fire in Westchester near the Fairfield County line kept crews busy for an extended amount of time.  The blaze happened on Thursday morning, Aug. 17 in the village of Port Chester near the border with Greenwich, the village's fire department said.  Because the car's fuel tank had become compromised, the effort to extinguish the flames became an "extended operation," according to the department.  The Greenwich, Rye Brook, and Purchase Fire Departments also helped put out the blaze.  The exact location and cause of the fire has not yet been made available…

Missing 6-Year-Old NY Boy Found Dead In Pond A 6-year-old boy who was reported missing was found dead in a pond near his home in New York.  Onnex Thompson-Hall's body was found by New York State DEC Forest Rangers in the Washington County town of Easton at about 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, according to New York State Police. Authorities said the apparent drowning is believed to be accidental. Fire Reported At Greenwich Hospital, Officials Say A fire has been reported at an area hospital treating many with patients with novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The blaze began around 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, at Greenwich Hospital, the Greenwich Fire Department said on Twitter. The fire was reported in a generator area and involved some debris in a shaftway, the department said. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within minutes, officials said on Twitter.
