Fight Over Pet Guinea Pig Leads Roommates To Assault Each Other In Hudson Valley: Police Two roommates face assault charges after a verbal dispute over a pet guinea pig on Easter turned violent in the Hudson Valley, police said.  The incident happened on Easter Sunday, April 9 around 7:30 p.m., when police responded to a residence in Mahopac for a reported dispute between roommates, according to Carmel Police.  The fight involved their pet guinea pig and eventually turned physical when both roommates began assaulting each other.
