A Westchester woman has been charged after police say she was drunkenly involved in a Greenwich crash and unaware of where she was. Greenwich Police say they were dispatched to the area of 286 Delavan Avenue on a report of a vehicle in the roadway that was facing the wrong way around 8 p.m. on Friday, July 26. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Doris Peet, 77, of Port Chester, was confused and unaware of what town she was actually in, according to police. Woman, 28, Charged With DUI After Crash In Greenwich
An allegedly drunk driver was busted by police in Fairfield County after being involved in an early morning weekend crash near an I-95 exit ramp in Greenwich. Members of the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to the area of Delavan Avenue and Byram Shore Road at approximately 4:20 a.m. on Sunday morning, where there was a reported crash in the area. Crash Causes I-95 Delays
This story has been updated. There were lengthy delays on a stretch of I-95 after a crash that initially blocked the right lane near the border of Greenwich and Port Chester late Tuesday morning. The crash was northbound between Delavan Avenue (Exit 2) and Arch Street (Exit 3), with stop-and-go delays of up to a half hour to I-287 (Exit 21) in Westchester until the lane reopened around 12:30 p.m. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
